In 2001, St. Philopateer Coptic Orthodox Church opened to serve the Coptic Orthodox Christians of the North Dallas area. At this initial opening, only the chapel on the first floor was complete. The church is now undergoing construction to complete the main chapel on the second floor. Construction completion is currently scheduled for May 2010.
